Presented by Gearheart Communications, WYMT-TV, and the Mountain Arts Center, join us on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Mountain Arts Center in Prestonsburg, Kentucky.  Event features Coaltown Dixie, Waylon Nelson, and local youth!

Most people will agree that children are our greatest asset!  They are our future!

But they are vulnerable – and they are counting on us – the adults – to keep them safe and nurture them.

Sadly, child abuse is all too common – with an estimated 1 in 10 children experiencing sexual abuse by their 18th birthday.  And that’s just sexual abuse.  Hundreds of petitions are filed each year in our own region asking the family courts to intervene in protecting children from all types of abuse or neglect.  Each petition represents one child who needs help.

And these are the children you know.  They are not strangers.  They are children down your street, in your churches, in the schools.

Thankfully, you have a solution right here in our region.  You can be part of the solution through supporting the All for the Children telethon.  Judi’s Place for Kids is stepping up – with your help – to provide bright solutions to prevent and help end child abuse in Pike, Floyd, Johnson, Martin, and Magoffin Counties.

You can help bring awareness to these critical services and change a child’s life by supporting this fundraising effort.  Proceeds benefit the children’s advocacy center program and the Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) of Eastern Kentucky.  These programs served more than 400 local children in one year alone, in addition to the ones who received education sessions in their schools.

Please support this worthy cause.
